Psychological Skills for Resilience
This 1-day workshop teaches common psychological skills for coping with stress and anxiety. The course is delivered by Melissa Harries, a Psychologist with 15 years experience. Topics and skills include:
Changing your thinking
- Helpful thinking strategies and pitfalls
- Mindfulness for concentration and performance Learning self-compassion
Emotion regulation strategies
- Understanding the point of emotions Keeping reactions in proportion
- Positive psychology and mood
A practical guide to stress and wellbeing
- Mapping your stress signature
- Managing physical stress response
- Setting realistic wellbeing goals

Resilience First Aid
(RFA)

This 14 hour course (2 days face-to-face or 2 x Zoom Sessions and 10 hours self-paced learned for online) teaches you strength-based skills to build resilience in others.
You will learn how to spot signs of low resilience, learn language to talk proactively, and skills that build resilience.
On completion of this course, you will:
- Be certified for 3 years as a RFA Responder
- Be able to apply the concepts of preventative Mental Health
- Know how to use the 6 domains of resilience
- Be able to apply an effective responder protocol
This course will be delivered by Thomas Pulleine, an Accredited Resilience First Aid Instructor.
